Dean Jacquin Obituary

Dean Jacquin, 79, East Moline, passed away on Friday, December 22, 2017 at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline. Funeral services are 10 AM Thursday at St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline. Burial is in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation is 4-7 PM Wednesday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, with a rosary recited at 3:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to King's Harvest Ministries, the Humility of Mary Shelter, or to the Alzheimer's Association.

Dean was born February 28, 1938 in Moline, the son of Donald and Charlotte (Jackson) Jacquin. He married Joanne Pauwels on February 8, 1958 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Moline.

He worked in the finance industry. Dean was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church and the Catholic Order of Foresters. He was a Iowa Hawkeye Fan, and enjoyed bowling and golf.

Survivors include his wife of nearly 60 years, Joanne, children, Beth (Mark) Garner, Ft. Belvoir, VA, their children, Jake Garner and Chad (Mary Kate) Garner, Pam (Dougal) Nelson, Moline and David (Laura) Jacquin, Silvis, their children, Tony Jacquin, Sarah Lampe and Ryan Lampe, great grandchildren, Owen and Ethan Garner and Layne Lampe and his brother, Doug (Donna) Jacquin, Coal Valley. The family wishes to thank the staff at Hope Creek for their care and compassion.
