Steven Witt

Steven Lee Witt, 66, Coal Valley, passed away on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at Heartland Health Care, Moline. A celebration of his life will be held from 1 until 4 PM on Sunday, May 6, 2018 at Joe's Place in Coal Valley. In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to the family.

Steve was born on May 6, 1951 in Rock Island, the son of Frank and Nelda (Dame) Witt. He graduated from UTHS, Class of 1969. He was a self employed carpenter. Steve enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, fishing and bird watching. He was a thoughtful and caring man who was always there to help out his friends and family. He loved the time spent with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his daughter Taylor “Ang” Witt, Valparaiso, IN, her children, Tessa Ray and Tristan Lee, siblings, Victoria Witt, Moline, Jeff (Roxanne) Witt, Plainfield, IL, Veronica (Mike) Fisher, Sneads Ferry, NC, and Valerie (Paul) Carroll, Lebonon, MO and grandchildren, Vincent, Jessica, Michelle, Charlene and Casandra.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Mike and daughter Jennifer L. Hadnot.
