A Moline native, David is humbled to be part of Van Hoe Funeral Home. David has served as a Funeral Director at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory for more than three decades and owner since 2018. He is the Deputy Coroner for Rock Island County, Illinois.
Vice President, Owner, Funeral Director
After assisting with tasks around the Rock Island location of Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory as a teen, Joe was inspired to study business and mortuary science. He served as a funeral director in a Rockford, Illinois, funeral home before being invited back to Wheelan-Pressly, where he later became an owner.

Dan is one of the former owners and a licensed funeral Director/Embalmer. He has been associated with Van Hoe Funeral Home since high school age. He graduated from Alleman High School - Rock Island class of 1982. He attended Black Hawk College and later graduated from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, class of 1984 with a degree in Mortuary Science. He enjoys smelting aluminum and spending time with his family. He is a die-hard Cubs fan. Dan is a member of St. Anne's Parish in East Moline, and the East Moline Exchange Club.

Administrative Assistant
Andrea joined the Van Hoe family in 2006. Prior to that she was a staff member at St. Paul the Apostle Church in Davenport, IA. She holds a Master's Degree in Pastoral Studies from St. Ambrose University in Davenport, IA, and is certified in Spiritual Direction through the Prayer & Spirituality Center. Andrea is married and has three grown children.

Sharon is our Pre-Need counselor. Prior to joining us in 2008, she was the Rock Island County Coroner for 20 years, from 1988-2008. She graduated from University of Illinois, College of Nursing.

Charlie joined our staff in September of 2014. He retired from the Rock Island Arsenal after 35 years, with his final seven years working as a protocol officer for the U.S. Army Garrison. Charlie graduated from United Township High School in 1977 and later graduated from Black Hawk College and attended Western Illinois University. He currently resides in Silvis, and is married to Sara. They have a son, two daughters, and seven grandchildren, with 1 on the way. Charlie enjoys staying physically active through various sports. He is a avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan. He is a member of St. Anne's Parish in East Moline.

Don joined the funeral home in 2013. He and his wife Donna have been married for 52 years and reside in Moline. He retired from John Deere Harvester Works in 1992, and is a member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Moline. He is a member of the Knights of Columbus Leo Council #716 in East Moline. He also enjoys driving dealer trade cars.

Brittney has lived in the Quad Cities her whole life. She grew up a Moline "Maroon," but converted to a Rock Islander her junior year when she met her high school sweetheart, Joe. Brittney provides care for our families as an administrative assistant. Prior to joining the Wheelan-Pressly family, Brittney worked at the Rock Island Arsenal and several childcare facilities.
Brittney and Joe were married in 2011 and together have a son, Collin. Brittney and family are members at Edgewood Baptist Church. Brittney is also a member of Junior Board of Rock Island and is currently serving as PTA President at Eugene Field Elementary School. She loves volunteering for Collin's school and sporting events. She enjoys shopping and spending time with family and friends.

In people's hardest times, we have the opportunity to serve families by commemorating their loved ones through stories, celebrations and tributes. The work and dedication this staff portrays is truly amazing. I love connecting with people and doing what I can to help. I feel as though our team and families we serve are truly an extension of my family."
