Funeral services for Anna Marie Flinn, 95, formerly of East Moline, are 10 AM Tuesday at Homewood Evangelical Free Church, Moline. Burial is in Roselawn Memorial Estate, Moline. Visitation is 5-7 PM Monday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Anna died Thursday, September 3, 2009 at Trinity Regional Health Systems, Rock Island. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Anna Marie DeKoster was born February 5, 1914 in Woodhull, IL, the daughter of Emil and Leshia (Greenwood) DeKoster. She married Clarence A Flinn on May 16, 1936 in Buda, IL. He died September 15, 1980. She was a member of St. Mark's Church, Davenport, IA. Anna enjoyed working in her garden, fishing, embroidery and bowling. She loved trips out of town to visit family and was a wonderful mother who would do whatever she could for her family. Survivors include her children and their spouses; Joan and Fred Keding, DeWitt, IA, Barbara and Sam Vince of LaQuinta, CA, Doris and Gene Thompson, East Moline, and James and Phyllis Flinn of Gravis Mills, MO, ten grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 4great-great grandchildren a sister Hazel Vereecke, East Moline and a brother Arthur DeKoster, Quincy, IL. She is preceded in death by her husband, sisters Florence Swanson and Katherine DeKoster, brothers Chuck, Joe and Corbin, and a great grandson Trey Vickroy. The family would like to thank Aspen Rehabilitation and Health Care Center for the comfort and compassion shown to Anna.
