Donna M. (Belk) Butcher, 76, Silvis, passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2016 at Unity Point-Trinity, Rock Island. Memorial services are 2 PM Saturday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Visitation is from 11 AM until service time. Memorials may be made to the family. Donna Belk was born September 13, 1940 in Massbach, IL, the daughter of Clyde and Florence (Albrecht) Belk. She married Robert Butcher and together they had 3 sons. Donna will be remembered for working at the Deli of Eagle Food and serving people. She attended Heritage Church, Rock Island. She loved her family and friends and cherished the time with her grandchildren. Donna enjoyed listening to music, was an excellent cook, and was famous for her Cheesecake. She enjoyed attending her son's sporting events, especially baseball games. She was happiest when she brought joy to others. Survivors include her sons; Scott (Marie) Butcher East Moline, Mike (Tami) Butcher, Chandler, AZ and Brent Butcher, Clinton, IA, grandchildren; Madison, Tatum and Brooks, siblings; James (Rose) Belk, Long Grove, IA, Ardel Wright, Davenport, Dennis Belk (Jenny Hutchinson), Bettendorf, Ina (Dave) Rieker, Rock Island, Karen Belk, DesMoines, IA, Randy Belk, Bettendorf and Julie Coughlin (Geoff Eaton), Davenport, numerous nieces nephews and cousins, and her best friend Sherry Coverdill She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings; Joan, Dale, Darwin and Jerald. The family wishes to thank Unity Point Hospice for their compassion and dedication to Donna's Care.
