Adela O. Moreno, 86, East Moline, passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 in East Moline. Visitation is 1:00-4:00 PM Saturday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. Adela Ornelas was born on June 12, 1929 in Hallsville, TX, the daughter of Guadalupe and Emilia (Cordova) Ornelas. She married Fidencio Moreno and together they had five children. He died in 1989. She was a strong and loving homemaker. In early years, she had received medals for her swimming and dancing. Adela was a skilled seamstress, enjoyed gardening and her flowers. She was community minded and was always there to offer her help to those in need. She loved listening to her Mexican music and traveling to her beloved Leon GTO, Mexico. Survivors include her children; Angelica (Silvestre) Duran, Joe (Lorna) Moreno, Dan (Angel) Moreno and Myreya (Jesse) Martinez, all of East Moline, sixteen grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
