Memorial services for Adele Mulligan, 83, East Moline, are 11 AM Friday at 1st Christian Church, East Moline. Visitation is 1 hour prior to services at the church. Private burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Mrs. Mulligan died Tuesday, December 20, 2005 at Genesis Medical Center-Illini Campus, Silvis. Memorials may be made to the church. Adele was born June 1, 1922 in Grafton, North Dakota, the daughter of Senius and Ella (Birk) Rasmussen.. She married James Mulligan, August 21, 1941 in Crookston, MN. Jim died January 22, 2003. Adele worked at the former Goldsmiths Clothier, Moline. In Adele's early years, she and her husband loved to dance and go to the mall. Together they would open their home to those who needed a place to be loved. She had a special love for animals and always had a pet until just this last year. Adele had a kind heart and was always ready to help those she held close to her heart. Survivors include daughters and son-in-law Patricia and Phillip Bond, East Moline and Roberta Smith, Tempe, AZ, grandchildren (and spouses/fiances) Nick Bond and Melissa Rathje, Rock Island, Trishia and Bryan Ryser, East Moline, Diana Riley and John Pringey, Rockford, IL and Kelly Smith, Rockford, great grandchildren Jonathan Riley, Rockford, Heather Riley, Freeport, Erica Craig, Freeport, Christopher Brimeyer, Rockford and Ellie Ryser, East Moline, a great-great grandson Gage Karstedt, Freeport and sisters Pat Adrian, Bettendorf, Ceo Hardin, East Moline and Irene "Almer" Bjerke, Grafton.
