Adolph T. "Lalo" Alatorre, 90, of Moline, formerly of East Moline, passed away Thursday June 7, 2018 at Aspen Rehab & Health Care in Silvis. Funeral services are 12:00PM Monday June 11, 2018 at Van Hoe Funeral Home, Ltd., in East Moline. Visitation will be held 10:00AM-12:00PM Monday prior to funeral services at the funeral home where in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Aspen Rehab & Health Care. Entombment will be at St. Mary's Mausoleum in East Moline. Adolph was born December 7, 1927 in Moline, a son of Juan and Tomasa (Trujillo) Alatorre. He attended United Township High School and later, on December 26, 1974, married Patricia Ann Nave in Sterling, IL. He worked for 19 years at John Deere Harvester Works, 20 years for East Moline Metal Products, and before finally retiring, 7 years as a custodian for Rock Island County in Milan. He was one of the first Mexicans to be on the Quad Cities Pick League, and held that position for many, many years. He enjoyed dancing and playing the maracas. Adolph loved all of his grandkids, and especially his dog "Joebee". He was a lifetime member of the Democratic Party and a avid Chicago Bears and Cubs fan. Lalo was a friend to many. Among those left to honor his memory include: his wife, Patricia; children: Helen Wallerich of Bloomfield, IA, Tamara O'Dell of Surprise, AZ, Norbie (Judy) Alatorre of Moline, John (Charlene) Alatorre of Rock Island, Joe (Robyn) Alatorre of Port Byron, Ken (Melissa) Jurgensen of East Moline, and Steve (Kathy) Ketelsen of Clinton, IA; 16 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, a sister, stepson, and a grandson: Elmer Wallerich.
