Funeral services for Adolph J. Sovanski, 95, Moline, are 10 AM Monday at Christ the King Catholic Church, Moline. Entombment is in St. Mary's Mausoleum. Visitation is 4-7PM Sunday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Mr. Sovanski died Thursday, October 4, 2007 at Heartland Health Care, Moline. A memorial fund has been established. Adolph was born May 10, 1912 in Kewanee, IL, the son of Joseph and Rose (Mahalik) Sovanski. He married Clara Hamilton on November 12, 1938 in Kewanee. He had worked as a truck driver at Dohrn Transfer, Central Transfer and later retired from Standard Forwarding. Adolph was a member of the Teamsters Local 371. Survivors include his wife of 68 years Clara, daughter and son-in-law Kathleen and Raynold, Runge, Durant, IA, sons and daughter-in-law Albert and Maggie Sovanski, Coal Valley and Gregory, Moline, grandchildren; Diane, Sara, Chad, Wendy, Mary, and Ron, and four great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by a brother, 3 sisters and grandchildren John and Shawn.
