Funeral service for Agnes O. Rigsby, 83, of East Moline, IL, will be 10:00AM Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, East Moline. Entombment will be in St. Mary's Mausoleum, East Moline. Visitation will be 2-5 PM Sunday at the funeral home, where a rosary will be recited at 4:30PM. Mrs. Rigsby died Thursday, September 25, 2008 at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis, IL. Agnes Volcke was born June 6, 1925 in Ontario, Canada, the daughter of Leon and Marie (Van Nieuwenhuyse) Volcke. She married John Rigsby October 1, 1946 in East Moline. He died April 13, 1979. Agnes had worked several jobs over the years but being a homemaker and raising her children had been the most important part of her life. She had been a longtime member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, East Moline, where she had sung in the choir. Lately she had been attending Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Silvis. Survivors include: daughters, Cynthia Casey of East Moline, Janice Conklin of Moline; sons and daughter-in-law, David and Marcia Rigsby of East Moline, Gary and Louise Rigsby of East Moline with whom she resided; grandchildren, Kristin, Johnnie, Eric, and Amy; great grandchildren, Isaac, Johnnie Jr., and Mya; sister, Elaine Wilson of Moline; brother-in-law, Wilber VerHeecke of TX. She is preceded in death by her husband, sons, James Rigsby and Todd Rigsby; sister, Jeany VerHeecke; son-in-law, Jim Casey.
