Funeral services for Alan J. Niedzwiecki, 55, of East Moline, IL, will be 10:00AM Friday at St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00PM Thursday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 3:30PM. Mr. Niedzwiecki died Saturday, December 14, 2013 at his home after an apparent heart attack. Memorials may be made to the Monsignor Cleary Endowment Fund. Alan was born July 21, 1958 in Moline, IL, the son of Joseph and Berniece Smolenski Niedzwiecki. He had worked for Modern Woodman of America, Rock Island for the last 22 years. Alan was a loving and devoted son to his parents and had been the best brother a sister could ask for. He enjoyed cars. Survivors include his sister, Judy (Brian) Mitton, East Moline; aunt Sophie Krajewski, Houston, TX; uncle John Smolenski; and several cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents.
