Funeral services for Albert F. DeClercq, 71, of East Moline, IL, will be 1:30PM Wednesday at St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00PM Tuesday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 3:30PM. Mr. DeClercq died Thursday, April 17, 2014, at his home. Memorials may be made to St. Anne Catholic Church. Al was born December 5, 1942 in Moline, IL, the son of Alois and Florence Sansale DeClercq. He married Joyce Porter October 5, 1967 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, East Moline. They divorced. He later met the love of his life Linda Reeves. He served in the U.S. Army. He retired from John Deere Harvester, East Moline, after 30+ years of service. He had been a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. He had been a member of the East End Boulders Club. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was loved by all. Survivors include his daughters, Jill Rene (Sean) Hast, Austin, TX, and Michelle (Steve) Petty, East Moline; grandchildren, Jessica (Lee) Paradise, Gunnar Hast, Alexis, Abbey, and Ryan Petty; sisters, Mary Ann Minson, East Moline, Barbara Barlow, East Moline, and Anna (Jody) Oltman, Geneseo; brothers, Chuck (LeAnn) DeClercq, Clinton, IL, Joe (Sharon) DeClercq, East Moline, and David DeClercq, Moline, IL; many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, John and Edward DeClercq, and the love of his life, Linda Reeves, who died February 28, 2004.
