Funeral Services for Albert A. Nagel, 92, of East Moline, IL, will be 1:30PM Monday at St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline. Entombment will be in St. Mary's Mausoleum, East Moline. Visitation will be 2:00-4:00 PM Sunday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 4:00 PM. Mr. Nagel died Thursday, January 03, 2008 at Heartland Health Care Center, Moline, IL. Memorials may be made to the Msgr. Cleary Endowment Fund. Mr. Nagel was born March 9, 1915 in Luverne, MN, the son of William and Christina (Buss) Nagel. He married Gertrude Donth December 5, 1936 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Rock Island, IL. She died February 22, 2001. He retired from John Deere Harvester, East Moline, in 1977 after 42 years of service. Mr. Nagel loved his family. He loved vacationing with his grandchildren while they were growing up. He was very proud of his great grandchildren and great great grandson. He had a special dog, his "Little Girl", Katie. Survivors include: his daughter-in-law, Sharon Nagel of East Moline; granddaughters and grandsons-in-law, Ronda and Bill Gramling of East Moline, Annette and Thom Bollaert of Spokane, WA; grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Jody and Tami Nagel of East Moline; 9 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandson; special nieces who he raised after the death of his sister-in-law: Kathy (Charles) Maddox, Delores Thompson and Lucille Richardson and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, son, Ronald J. Nagel who died July 10, 2007, great grandson, Adam Bollaert, sisters, Tena Roehs, Jennie Donth, brother, John Nagel, a niece Dollie Brown and nephews Camille Cathelyn and Peter Donth.
