Funeral services for Albert L. Lundeen Sr., 67, of the Lighthouse of Silvis, IL, will be 10:00 AM Monday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, IL. Burial will be in Rock Island National Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00-5:00PM Sunday at the funeral home. Mr. Lundeen died Wednesday, May 27, 2015, at Trinity, Rock Island. Al was born July 9, 1947, in Moline, IL, the son of Bazil and Verla Simler Lundeen. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He married Diane Knudsen in August of 1976. Al was an union carpenter, Local 166. He worked for Allied Construction Services, Bettendorf, IA, and retired from Truss Plus, Davenport, IA, in 2006. He enjoyed bowling, shooting picks, and having friends and family watch the 4th of July parade from his front lawn on 15th Ave East Moline, with an ice cold beer. His grandchildren were a special joy in his life. Survivors include his children, Shane Thurman, Brookfield, IL, Heather (Mark) Zoppa, Brookfield, AJ Lundeen, East Moline, and Rhyan Lundeen, Brookfield; grandchildren, Harleigh, Tyler, Madyson, Alexis, Jack, Nathan, Zachary, and Vivienne; sisters, Betty Lindsey, East Moline, Delores Remsen, Sparks, NV, Edith (Dick) Neybert, NC; brothers, his twin, George (Ellen) Lundeen, East Moline, and Bruce (Donna) Lundeen, East Moline. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Barbara, Gary, Bazil Jr. "Buddy" Lundeen. Memorials may be made to the Lighthouse Activity Fund.
