Alberto Nevarez, 47, East Moline, passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at his home, surrounded by his family and friends. A private Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, June 15, 2020 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Moline at 10:00 AM. Committal services will follow at St. Mary's Mausoleum, East Moline. In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to the family.

Alberto was born on June 30, 1972 in Durango, Mexico, the son of Miguel and Magdalena Nevarez. He attended UTHS. He married Maria Josefina Castro Rocha on July 25, 1997 in Rock Island. He worked 19 years as a machine operator at Hansolay Corp., Davenport. Alberto enjoyed coaching basketball, soccer, football and baseball. He never wasted time, always finding something to do around the house.

Survivors include his wife, Maria, children, Jonathan A Nevarez and Adrian D. Nevarez, siblings, Miguel Nevarez, East Moline, Jose (Guadalupe) Nevarez, East Moline, Soccorro (Victor) Tovar, Sacramento, CA, Patricia Nevarez, Phoenix, AZ, Maria Elena (Jorge) Moreno, Phoenix and Alfonso (Patricia) Nevarez, Phoenix, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
