Funeral services for Alene Taylor, 89, of East Moline, IL, will be 3:00 PM Saturday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, IL.Pastor Kent Umbarger will be officiating. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline, IL. Visitation will be 4-7 PM Friday (today) at the funeral home. Mrs. Taylor died Wednesday, May 03, 2006 at Rosewood Health Care Center, Moline, IL. Memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice or the Nursing Program at Black Hawk College, Moline, IL. Alene Stacy was born January 18, 1917 in Rosiclare, IL, the daughter of Edgar and Verna (Keeling) Stacy. She married Uly Holloman in 1935. She later married James M. Taylor in 1949. She retired from the East Moline State Hospital in 1972, after 30 years of service. She had been a long time member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Rose Chapter 626, Silvis, IL. Alene loved her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed singing and spending time with her family. She will be missed by all. Survivors include: sons and daughters-in-law, Don and Joanne Holloman of Palmdale, CA, Mike and Ginny Holloman of East Moline, IL, James and Violet Taylor of East Moline, IL; daughter-in-law and spouse, Lois and John Honeycutt of East Moline, IL (where Alene resided); grandchildren (spouse), Stephanie (Rick) Viduka, Chris (Donna)Holloman, Walter (Elizabeth) Holloman, Stacey (Paul) Nestlerode, Laurel (Scott) Carlson, Michelle Boudreau, Bryan (Debra) Holloman, Brad (Dawn) Holloman, Kimber (Mike) Owens, James (Mendy) Taylor, Gayle Sundberg, Joshua Taylor, Riki Anderson, Mary Ann Anderson, and Samantha Anderson; 26 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Jim Taylor, Pauline Sullivan, Edith West, and Helen Misfelt among many many others.
