Alfredo N. Rasso, 78, of East Moline, died Friday, May 16, 2014 at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline. Funeral services are 10 AM Wednesday at St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline. Burial is in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline. Visitation is 3-7PM Tuesday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 6:30 PM. Memorials may be made to the Diabetes Association. Alfredo was born on September 10, 1935 in Mexico, the son of Joseph and Carmen Ramirez Rasso. He graduated from UTHS. He retired in 1997 as a custodian from UTHS. Mr. Rasso was proud of his Mexican heritage and loved the music. He enjoyed time with his extended family and time at his cottage enjoying the out doors. He liked growing flowers and was a Chicago Cubs and Bears fan. Survivors include his siblings, Rudolph (Carmen) Rasso, Silvis, George Rasso, East Moline, Antonio (Christina) Rasso, Silvis, Larry Rasso, East Moline, Vince Rasso, Chicago, Maria "Mary" Beserra, Orion, IL, Alice (Leonard) Lopez, Moline and Linda (Steven) Martinez, East Moline, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Mark.
