Alice J. Martin, 84, passed away Thursday, March 10, 2022, at Illini Hospital, Silvis, IL. Visitation services will be held on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, from 12:30-1:30PM at Van Hoe Funeral Home, LTD. Burial will take place at Rock Island National Cemetery. Memorials may be made out to the family.

Alice was born December 28, 1937, the daughter of Dale and Lillian (Snow) Raurk. She married Homer Martin on October 17, 1970, he preceded her in death in 2008. Alice retired in 1993 from International Harvester working on combines. She was an avid member of both the Country Music Association and the Women's Auxillary Club. Every Sunday she would go to the American Legion to dance, she was very outgoing, and she loved to be outside, especially on really hot days.

Survivors include her daughter, Debbie Johnson, Galesburg, IL; sister, Sarah Maxine Ruark, Peoria, IL; five grandchildren; 13 great-grand children; and many nieces and nephews.

Alice is preceded in death by her parents, her son, Harry Means, and her brother, Ed Ruark.
