Alice M. Odendahl, 90, East Moline, passed away on Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at Rosewood Care Center, Moline. Funeral services are 10 AM Wednesday at Christ the King Catholic Church, Moline. Burial is in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation is 4-7 PM Tuesday at Van Hoe Funeral Home ltd., East Moline, where a liturgy service will be read at 4PM. Memorials may be made to Susan G Koman for the Cure. Alice Beernaert was born February 20, 1922 in East Moline, the daughter of August and Elizabeth (Staelens) Beernaert. She married Clifford Odendahl on June 21, 1941 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, East Moline. He died on December 19, 1996. She had worked as a beautician and also tended bar at the former Old Country Spot and Fitzpatrick's. She sang in the Chord Busters, and was a member of the National Catholic Society of Foresters. Survivors include her children and spouses, Bonnie and Randy Jones, Palmetto, FL, Kenneth and Elke Odendahl, Fulda, Germany, and Lynn Ledford, Valrico, FL, nine grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren 3 great-great grandchildren, and her sister Arlene Vercauteren, Moline. She was preceded in death by her husband Clifford and a brother Albert Beernaert.
