Funeral services for Alice I. Vervaecke, 89, of East Moline, IL, will be 10:00AM Saturday at Christ the King Catholic Church, Moline, IL. Entombment will be in St. Mary's Mausoleum, East Moline. Visitation will be Friday 4-7PM at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 4:00PM. Mrs. Vervaecke died Wednesday, February 28, 2007 at Oak Park Place, Dubuque, IA. Memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice of Dubuque. Alice Jacxsens was born December 4, 1917 in Minneota, MN, the daughter of Firmin and Marie (Dhaese) Jacxsens. She married Francis Vervaecke December 29, 1945 in East Moline, IL. He died February 13, 1992. She enjoyed crocheting and fishing. Survivors include: daughters and sons-in-law, Dianne and Ben Maring of Colona, IL, Sharon and Frank Krone of Peosta, IA; grandchildren and spouses, Theron and Mia Maring of Orion IL, Megan Maring of Colona IL, Frank Jr. Krone and fiancé Lisa Giese of Chicago IL, Bridget and Joe Dusing of Maricopa AZ; great granddaughter Allison Maring of Orion.
