Funeral services for Aline E. Sheley, 97, East Moline, are 11 AM Friday at St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline. Burial is in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation is 4-7PM Thursday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 7PM. Mrs. Sheley died Tuesday, January 15, 2008 at Illini Restorative Care, Silvis. Memorials may be made to the Monsignor William J. Cleary Endowment Fund. Aline Schulte was born August 23, 1910 in Perryville, Missouri, the tenth of eleven children born to Theodore and Emma (Hunt) Schulte. She married Earl Sheley on June 27, 1928 in East Moline. Aline was a life long member of St. Anne's and an active member of the Altar and Rosary Society. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed playing cards and going to her card clubs. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law Tom and Luanne Sheley, East Moline and Richard and Lois Sheley, Rapids City, IL daughter-in-law Arlene Burge, East Moline thirteen grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren. Aline was preceded in death by her husband Earl in 1980, and a son Robert who died in 1966 and her brothers and sisters.
