Alphonse Perez, 79, East Moline passed away on Sunday, August 4, 2013 at Forest Hill Nursing and Rehabilitation, East Moline. Funeral services are 10 AM Wednesday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial is at St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline. Visitation will be 4-7PM Tuesday at the funeral home, where a rosary will be recited at 4PM. Memorials may be made to the Lulac Council 10 Scholarship, Davenport. Alphonse was born June 8, 1934 in Moline, the son of Francisco and Refugio "Cuca" (Gonzalez) Perez. He held various jobs throughout his life, but enjoyed people the most. He was a likable man who enjoyed spirited conversations and watching old western's and war movies. Survivors include his sons, Alphonse and Michael, both of Fort Worth, TX, several grandchildren, siblings, Vicky McKnight, Moline, Eva (Alfred) Savala, East Moline, Julie Greenwood, East Moline and Mary (Augie) Ruiz, San Jose, CA, many nieces and nephews, and special family the John and Jenny Bustos Family. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Valentine, Rose Mary, Conception, Jose, Abraham and Frank.
