IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Amy M.
Eayrs
July 11, 1972 – June 1, 2025
With hearts full of love and gratitude for the time we were given, the family of Amy Marie (Soseman) Eayrs announces her peaceful passing on Sunday, June 1, 2025, at Allure of Moline.
Funeral services for Amy M. Eayrs, 52, of East Moline, IL, will be 10 AM Friday, June 6, 2025, at St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-7 PM Thursday, June 5, 2025, at the Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 3 PM.
Amy was born July 11, 1972, to Connie Soseman and was later blessed with the steadfast love of her dad, Daniel Owens, who cherished her as his own. She grew up in the close-knit St. Anne parish community, graduating from St. Anne Catholic School and Alleman High School. Amy went on to earn a bachelor's degree from Western Illinois University.
For many years Amy was the welcoming voice and steady hand at Russell Electric, where she served as an Administrative Assistant.
Music was Amy's constant companion: whether she was humming Elton John in the car, rocking out to Duran Duran in her room, or singing along to a cheerful tune on the radio, she made sure her younger brothers, sisters, and cousins were always schooled in the coolest hits of the '70s, '80s, and '90s.
Family meant everything to Amy, and "family" to her was a big word. It included her children, parents, grandparents, siblings, aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, and a legion of friends who knew they had a home in her heart.
Amy's gift was making every person feel seen, heard, and loved. Her smile could turn a bad day around; her hugs had a way of mending hearts. We will miss her sunshine but will carry it forward by loving one another a little harder, singing a little louder, and never leaving a room without saying "I love you."
Left to treasure her memory are her sons, Conner Soseman (Jada Gibbs) Moline, and Morgan Eayrs, Pasco, WA; a grandchild due within the month; her siblings, Daniel Owens (Beth Thompson), Moline, Karena (Elias) Spiridonos, Davenport, IA, Mattia Owens (Nick Fleming), Davenport, and Robert (Brooke) Owens, Coal Valley; her mother, Connie Owens; aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces.
She is reunited in Heaven with her grandparents, Charles and Agnes Soseman; her father, Daniel Owens; her uncles, Tom, George, Gary, and Richard Soseman; and her aunt, Patricia Holliday.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
