Funeral services for Andrea Gamino, 100, formerly of East Moline, are 10 AM Wednesday at St.Mary's Catholic Church, East Moline. Burial is in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline. Visitation is 3-7 PM Tuesday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 6:30PM. Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Church. Andrea died Saturday, September 02, 2006 at Coventry Living Center, Sterling, IL. She was born November 30, 1905 in Mexico. She married Candalario Hernandez and together they had 6 children. He died in 1928. She married Soferino Gamino in 1956. He died in 1972. Andrea had worked various jobs in the Quad City Area. Survivors include children Bruno Hernandez, St. Lucia, FL, and Tomasa Cavazos, Sterling, step daughter Cecilia Terronez, East Moline, twenty-five grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren, 70 great-great grandchildren and 5 great-great-great grandchildren, and a sister Antonia Ortiz, Texas. In addition to losing her husbands, children Lala Leach, Bacillo Hernandez, Victoria Castro and Jesse Hernandez, brother; Florentino Ortiz and eight grandchildren have preceded her in death.
