Funeral services for Andrew K. Jennes, 93, a resident of Park Vista, East Moline, will be at 10:00AM Friday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial will be at St. Anthony Cemetery, Atkinson, IL. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Memorials can be made to Park Vista. Mr. Jennes died Monday, May 19, 2014 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria, IL. Andrew was born June 22, 1920 in Belgium, the son of the late Felix and Clemence Bowens Jennes. He married Fern Wilson in 1942 and later married Ruth Rieck. Andrew loved to farm and travel to Alaska having visited there many times. He was very active, still driving, dancing and going to the YMCA everyday until his early 90's. He retired in 1986 as a machinist from John Deere. Survivors include his children; Jerry (Chris) Jennes of Geneseo, IL, Nick (Jo) Jennes of East Moline, IL, Andrea Rangel of Florida; 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, son in law; Dan Martel, stepchildren; Mickey Reynolds, Kevin Rieck and the late Pat Wiebel. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughters; Karen Martel and infant daughter Vicki Lynn; sisters, Justine Mille and Julia Cauwels.
