Obituary

Angela "Nellie" Dellaert, 93, East Moline Illinois, died on August 15, 2005 at Stonehill Care Center, Dubuque IA. Funeral services will be at 10 AM Saturday at St. Anne Catholic Church in East Moline IL, with visitation 1 hour prior to services at the church. Entombment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery in East Moline. Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. on Friday at Hoffman Schneider Kitchen Funeral Home 3860 Asbury Rd., Dubuque, with a Holy Rosary prayed at 6:30, both the funeral service and Rosary will be lead by Fr. Brian M. Dellaert. She was born February 10, 1912 in Kewanee IL the daughter of Casimir & Lena Gaydos. She worked at the Kewanee Glove factory, John Deere Harvester East Moline during WWII, and Fresh Pak Candy Co. Moline until retirement in 1984. She played the organ at Mass in Kewanee and was a member of the American Legion. She married Philmon Dellaert on November 26, 1932 in Kewanee IL. Philmon died on February 8th, 1980 in Davenport Iowa surrounded by his family. She always looked after the needs of her family and was a loving and supportive wife. Surviving are her son Gary (Debbie) Dellaert, five grandchildren, Fr. Brian M. Dellaert, Jason, Scott, Theresa, & John. A sister Mary (Jules) Kerchove, and brother Don (Pat) Gaydos. She was preceded in death by her parents, Husband Philmon, brothers Joe & Johnny Gaydos, and sisters in-law Elma Gaydos, Dorothy Gaydos and Evelyn VanQuathem. A brother Walter died as an infant.
