Angela J. Serra, 57, Silvis, passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN. Funeral services are 9AM Friday at Christ the King Catholic Church, Moline. Visitation is 4-7PM Thursday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, where a Rosary will be recited at 3:30. Burial is in Glendale Cemetery, DesMoines, IA. In lieu of flowers and gifts, a memorial fund has been established. Angela was born on March 27, 1957, the daughter of Peter and Jennie (Morano) Serra. She received her associate degree from Black Hawk College, Moline. Angela had done volunteer work for most of her life. She was active with the Black Hawk Life Program, taught CCD at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Silvis and volunteered for the East Moline Public School District. She was a loving aunt and sister. One of her greatest joys in life was being there for various family members' milestones. She will be greatly missed. She is survived by her siblings, Mary Lynn (Mark) Breitenbach, Silvis, Peter (Debbie) Serra Jr., East Moline and Anthony (Lori) Serra, Silvis, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents.
