Obituary

Angeline Massarolo, 93, of East Moline, died Friday, August 30, 2024 at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline.  Cremation rites were accorded.  A memorial service will be at 11 am Monday, September 9, 2024 at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline.  Visitation will be from 10-11 am Monday, September 9, 2024 at the funeral home.  Inurnment will take place at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline.  Memorials may be made in care of the Alzheimer's Association.

Angeline was born on November 4, 1930 in East Moline, Illinois, a daughter of Pete and Lena Badamn LaFerrara.  She married Rudolpho Massarolo on December 9, 1949 in Moline, Illinois.  He preceded her in death on August 9, 2000.

Angeline was a tremendous caretaker who took pride in raising her family.  She was an avid reader and enjoyed camping and traveling.  She adored spending time with her grandchildren.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Johnny (Phyllis) Massarolo, East Moline, George Massarolo, Japan, Charles (Charlene) Massarolo, Colona and Randy Massarolo, East Moline; eight grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and siblings, Frank George LaFerrara, Benny LaFerrara and Irma Bates.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Pauline Lybarger, grandson, Tony Massarolo and siblings, Joe, John and Sammy Laferrara, Rosie Mitola and Mary Wood.
