Anna Korosec, 88, East Moline, passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2016 in East Moline. Funeral services are 9AM Tuesday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Silvis. Burial is in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside, IL. Visitation is 3-6 PM Monday, January 18, 2016 at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Anna Weitzer was born on July 15, 1927 in Graz, Austria. Ms. Weitzer graduated with a Masters Degree from the Academy for Design and Arts in Graz. She married Blaz Korosec in 1950 in Graz. They renewed their vows in 1956 at the Catholic Church in Hastings, NE. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, Silvis. Survivors include her husband, Blaz, children, Thomas Korosec, Chicago, IL, Ann (Ross) Couwenhoven, Maryland, and Barbara (Ken) Henriksen , Kansas, grandchildren; Annie and Mark Couwenhoven and Michael Henriksen, and sisters, Antonia Weitzer, Austria and Edith Maurer, Charleston, IL. She was preceded in death by her son Michael and her parents.
