Annette J. Hook Wiersema, 82, East Moline, passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2013 at her home. At Annette's request her body will be cremated . Memorial services are 3PM Thursday, May 2, 2013, at First Baptist Church, Colona. Inurnment will be in Rock Island National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Beacon of Hope Hospice. Annette Hook was born on January 10, 1931 in Morrison, IL, the daughter of Sikka and Gertrude (Newendyke) Hook. She married Harold A Wiersema in 1950. He died in 1994. Annette had worked at various places including General Electric. She was a devoted wife mother and grandmother. Annette loved her church and was a gospel music singer. Survivors include her children (spouses), Bonnie (Steve) O'Brien, Rock Island, Vicky (Ron) Schlotfeldt, Joslin, IL, Jane Young, Port Byron, Dave Wiersema, Bend, OR, Debra (Kim) Rosenberg, Port Byron, Randy Wiersema, East Moline and Toby (Angie) Wiersema, Silvis, 38 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and her brother Raymond, (Darlene) Hook, Morrison. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her son Ricky, sister Dorothy, brother, Alvin and great granddaughter Megan O'Brien.
