Funeral services for Annie Maria Huyten, 82, of Coal Valley, IL, will be 10:00 AM Tuesday at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, Coal Valley. Entombment will be in St. Mary's Mausoleum, East Moline. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00PM Monday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 3:00 PM. Mrs. Huyten died peacefully Thursday, September 18, 2014, at her home, comforted by loved ones at her side. Ann Van Ooyen was born in Heerlen The Netherlands August 5, 1932, the daughter of Marinus and Constantina Bervoets Van Ooyen. She married Frank Huyten May 16, 1953, in Heerlen. Frank, Ann, and their 16 month old son, William moved to East Moline in 1956. After arriving in the United States, Ann worked for First National Bank, Moline. She had been a member of St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church. She enjoyed bicycling, walking, swimming, traveling, and cooking. Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Frank Huyten, Coal Valley; son, William (Mary) Huyten, Colona, IL; grandson, Dr. Austin Huyten, Orion, IL and his special friend, Dr. Ann Margrave, Davenport, IA; sisters, Tilla (Harrie) Neeskens, Heerlen The Netherlands, Trus (Jo) Wynem, Landgraaf The Netherlands, and Bertie (Cor) Wegh, Wylre The Netherlands; brothers, Gerrit (Ann) Van Ooyen, Kerkrade the Netherlands, and Alex (Lies) Van Ooyen, Jabeek The Netherlands; sister-in-law, Tiny Van Ooyen, Bilsen, Belgium; brothers-in-law, Piet Paasen, Heerlen The Netherlands, Mike Huyten, East Moline; Nick (Toni) Huyten, East Moline, and John Huyten, Heerlen the Netherlands; many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister, Paula Paasen and Mia Van Ooyen; brother, Jos Van Ooyen; sisters-in-law, Emma Huyten and Bella Huyten.
