Anselmo “Mo” Moreno Hernandez, 25, passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at MercyOne Genesis – Illini, Silvis.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 am on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at Our Lady of Grace Parish at St. Anne Catholic Church. Visitation will be 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at Van Hoe Funeral Home, with recitation of the rosary at 3:00 pm. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery, East Moline. Memorials may be made to the family, in care of his mother, Tonya Hernandez.

Mo was born on November 3, 2000, in Silvis, the son of Quinn and Tonya (Moreno) Hernandez. He attended Our Lady of Grace Catholic Academy, Class of 2016, and Alleman Catholic High School, Class of 2020. Mo enjoyed drawing, reading graphic novels, going to book stores, building LEGOs, watching his favorite movies and shows, singing in the car, and all animals. Mo loved traveling with family and attending all the family get togethers. His hair and fashion sense brought him a lot of compliments which he enjoyed.

Mo is survived by his parents, Quinn and Tonya Hernandez; brothers, Seth and Anthony Hernandez; maternal grandmother, Carmen Moreno Sanchez; paternal grandparents, Wanda and Art Hernandez; aunt, Rosa (uncle, Rob) Klein; uncle, Chad Hernandez; and 8 cousins with one on the way. He was preceded by his great grandparents.
