Anthony Manuel Castaneda, 18, Moline, died on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics as a result of an automobile/pedestrian accident which occurred on Sunday, May 22, 2022 on the I-74 bike path. Funeral services are 5 PM Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1330 13th Avenue, Moline. Visitation is from 2PM until service time at the church. Private committal will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to the family.

Anthony was born on July 12, 2003 in Owosso, MI, the son of Manuel and Michele "Shelley" (Johnson) Castaneda Jr. He graduated from Moline High School, class of 2021. He worked at Raising Cane's in Davenport. Anthony was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church Youth Program. He loved his friends and family.

Survivors include his parents; Shelley Johnson-Castaneda, Moline, and Manuel (Jeannette) Castaneda Jr., Durand, IL, siblings; Nicholas Castaneda, Beverly Jacobs, Jake Bloyer and Mary Bloyer and their families, and grandfather, David Johnson, East Moline.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; Bettyann Johnson, E. Elaine Castaneda and Manuel Jesus Castaneda.
