Funeral services for Anthony J. Frest, 86, East Moline, are 10 AM Monday at St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline. Burial is in Rock Island National Cemetery, where the East Moline American Legion Post 227 will conduct Military Honors. Visitation is 2-4PM Sunday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 3:30PM. Memorials may be made to St. Anne Church. Tony died Thursday, September 21, 2006 at Illini Restorative Care, Silvis. He was born November 12, 1919 in East Moline, the son of Anthony and Elizabeth (Hogan) Frest. He married Dorothy DeGheselle, June 19, 1948 at St. Anne's Church, East Moline. Anthony served in the US Army during WWII. He and his wife owned and operated a Dairy Queen in Gary Indiana, retiring in 1988. He enjoyed golfing, and travelling to Notre Dame for the Football Games. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Dorothy, children and spouses Terrence and Margaret Frest, Seattle, WA, Kevin Frest Hillsburg, CA, Katherine and Wayne Josleyn, Indianapolis, IN, Brian and Jeannine Frest, Shady Grove, MD, and Charles Frest, Williams, OR, grandchildren Jennifer Josleyn, Jared Josleyn, and Julia Frest, a great granddaughter Emma Josleyn and a sister Mary Palmer, Rock Island.
