Anthony G. Marchese , 93, of Geneseo, IL, passed away Sunday October 6, 2024 at his home in Geneseo.

In accordance with his wishes, no services are planned. Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline, assisted the family with arrangements.

Anthony was born June 7, 1931, in Rock Island, Illinois, a son of Gaetano and Giovanna (Tagliarini) Marchese. He married Joan E. Colclasure on November 13, 1959, in Moline, IL.

He worked for the Rock Island Railroad, and later for International Harvester for 28 years.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Joan, of Geneseo; children, Antonina Howell, Surprise, AZ, Michelle Jackson, Cape Coral, FL, Marc (Lisa) Marchese, Clarksdale, MO; "adopted son", Kevin Ward, Cape Coral, FL; seven grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and their families.

Anthony was preceded in death by his parents, Gaetano and Giovanna; and his siblings, Carmello Marchese and Mary Rose Blondell.
