Funeral services for Anthony L. "Tony" Steiner, 94, of Moline, IL, will be 11:30 AM Friday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd,, East Moline, IL. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline. Visitation will be 4-7 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Mr. Steiner died Monday, February 19, 2007 at St. Anthony's Continuing Care Center, Rock Island, IL. Memorials may be made to St Anthony's or Beacon of Hope Hospice. Tony was born February 13, 1913 in Biwabick, MN, the son of Anton and Mary (Lesar) Steiner. He married Mildred Washburn January 31, 1942 in South Bend, IN. She died November 11, 1997. He retired in the 1970's as a Heat Treat Superintendent for the Campbell, Wyant, and Cannon Foundry, Muskegon, MI. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, playing cards, and wintering in Arizona. He was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, and family member. Survivors include: daughter and son-in-law, Mary Jo "Jody" and Keith Coates of Denver, CO; granddaughter and spouse, Brenda Jennifer and Jeremy Colvin of Denver; great grandsons, Charles Michael and William Christopher Colvin; sisters and brothers-in-law, Margaret Ossian of Moline, Beverly Hart-Hemphill and William Hemphill of Rio Verde, AZ, Pat and James Weir of Moline; brothers and sisters-in-law, Victor and Alice Steiner of Moline, Bernard and Patricia Steiner of Geneseo, IL; many nieces and nephews.
