Antonio M. Maldonado, 85, of Colona, IL, passed away Thursday July 21, 2022 at Royal Oaks Care Center, Kewanee, IL

In accordance with Antonio's wishes, no services are planned at this time. Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline is assisting the family with arrangements.

Antonio was born June 5, 1937 in Utuado, Puerto Rico, the son of Antonio and Maria (Medina) Maldonado. He married Ann Louise Schmidtlein on May 13, 1960 in Henry County, IL.

He was a U.S. Army veteran. Antonio was a machine repairman for the Rock Island Line railroad for 21 years. Following his retirement from the railroad worked for Case/New Holland until his retirement in 2002.

Surviving are his wife, Ann; children, Antonio L. Maldonado, Johnny R. Maldonado, Daniel A. (Penny) Maldonado, and Anita M. Maldonado; grandchildren, Zachary Maldonado, Elizabeth Maldonado, Nick Maldonado, Jena Wells, Katherine Iossi and Mitch McIntyre; great grandson, Jasper; and three sisters, Esther, Elisha and Anna.

Antonio was preceded in death by his mother and father.
