Ardis K. Palmer, 89, passed away on Friday, February 22, 2019 at Park Vista in East Moline, IL where she resided. Memorial services are 12:00 PM Thursday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Visitation is 1 hour prior to services. Burial is in Moline Memorial Park Cemetery.

Ardis Berry was born July 21, 1929 in Lake Mills, IA, the daughter of Asa and Kathryn Berry. She married Colvin Palmer on May 18, 1952 in Lake Mills. He died June 1, 1993. Ardis attended schools in Lake Mills and graduated from the University of Iowa in Iowa City, IA in 1951. Ardis and Colvin owned and operated Palmer Mobile Home Park in East Moline for many years. She later went to work in the Respiratory Department at Lutheran Hospital, Moline and continued on through all the hospital mergers, last working at Trinity West, Rock Island She was a very active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, in East Moline. She also served on committees of Illowa Lutheran Coalition, Churches United, and South Moline Township Senior Center. Ardis enjoyed playing cards and belonged to five different bridge clubs and a 500 club. She also was a member of the ladies golf league at Golfmohr Golf Course.

She is survived by her two sons, Kirt Palmer, Tucson, AZ, and Steve Palmer of Rock Island, daughter, Kris Robb of East Moline. Three grandchildren, Amber DeGryse, Jamie Robb and Lani Robb, seven great grandchildren; Sophia, Noah, Jackson, Ava, Elena, Ryan and Alana, and another great-granddaughter is due in May, Savanna Grace.
