Arline G. Blodgett, 94, of East Moline, IL, died Wednesday, October 29, 2014, at Illini Restorative Care Center, Silvis, IL. Private graveside services will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Arline Ferns was born October 15, 1920, in Downers Grove, IL, the daughter of William and Grace Galusha Ferns. She married Delbert L. Dyer November 30, 1939 in Davenport, IA. He died in November of 1979. She later married Cornelius "Bob" Blodgett February 14, 1981. He died November of 1989. She retired from Eagle Signal, Davenport, IA, in 1982, after 23 years of service. She had been a member of Christ United Methodist Church, East Moline, where she had been active with the Methodist Women and Glory Circle. She had been a member of the Eastern Star. Survivors include her niece, Janet (Robert) Staley, Rock Island, IL; great niece, Amanda (Daniel) Scott, Rock Island; brothers, Nile Ferns, Medford, OR, Glen (Mary) Ferns, Littleton, CO, and Donald (Jean) Ferns, Milan, IL; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; sisters, Evelyn Steinhilber, Alberta Marshall, Leona Findley and Dorothy McDowell; brothers, Richard and Edward Ferns.
