Arthur R. Erdman Sr., 64, passed away April 8, 2013 at his home in Dallas, Texas. He was born in Moline, IL on March 14, 1949, the son of Edith and Herbert Erdman. It was his wish to forego traditional services and to be cremated. There will be a private burial at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Recently retired, Arthur lived a full life. Stories from his youth provided all who listened with adventures of building engines & transmissions, riding motorcycles and racing cars. He graduated from UTHS in East Moline after which he found his trade as a pipe-fitter. This career provided him with the freedom to explore the beauty of the United States he loved. From one coast to the other and points in between he worked building and maintaining the power-plants, foundries and factories that support the nation. Throughout his life, he never met a stranger, friendship and family were dear to him for a lifetime. Survivors include: His children, Rhonda (Robert) Clausen, Carla (Kevin) Amstein, Arthur (Rezwana) Erdman Jr., Texas; grandchildren, Madison, Ayrton and Ryker Clausen, Kaden Amstein, Hafsa Hanafi, Texas. He was preceded in death by parents, Herbert and Edith Erdman and sister, Christine Erdman.
