Barbara A. Anders, 71, Port Byron, passed away on Friday, May 14, 2021 at Illini Restorative Care, Silvis.

Funeral services are 10 AM Tuesday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Visitation is 4-7 PM Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospitals.

Barb Block was born on November 14, 1949 in East St. Louis, IL, the daughter of Theodore and Joan (Davies) Block. She married Thomas Anders on June 29, 1968 in East Moline. Barb sold Home Interiors for 27 years. She enjoyed gardening and going to Jazzercise. Barb enjoyed traveling and the fishing trips to Minnesota. She always had a positive outlook, was very energetic and made friends wherever she went.

Survivors include her husband of nearly 53 years, Tom, son Corey Anders (DeDe), Coal Valley, mother, Joan Block, East Moine, and brothers, Mel (Pat) Block, Edgington, IL, Gary (Karen) Block, Central City, IA and Duane (Brenda) Block, Moline.

She was preceded in death by her father Ted.
