Barbara J. McNabb , 87, of East Moline, IL, passed away Friday, November 28, 2025 at her home.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 3rd, at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline, where visitation will be one hour prior to services. Interment will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be made to The ARC of the Quad Cities Area.

Barbara Jean was born June 14, 1938, in Freeport, Illinois, to Fred, Sr. and Lois (Walters) Brooks. She married James L. McNabb on September 4, 1956, in Freeport, IL. He preceded her in death on April 20, 1998.

Barbara will be fondly remembered as a loving and devoted, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved spending time making memories with her family, and caring for her beloved pet dog, "Lucky".

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, James "Steve" (Sandy) McNabb, East Moline; daughters, Cynthia (Brian) Snell, Rock Island, and Susan McNabb-Gadient, East Moline; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; brother, Glenn (Maxine) Brooks, Moline; several nieces and nephews, and their families.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James; parents, Fred, Sr. and Lois; and siblings, Jo Ann Wubben, Fred Brooks, Jr., and Larry Brooks.
