Funeral services for Barbara L. Coggins, 80, of Moline, IL, will be 11:00 am Saturday, at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, IL. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation will be an hour prior to services Saturday at the funeral home. Mrs. Coggins died Wednesday, October 25, 2017, at Rosewood Care Center, Moline. Barbara Bevins was born June 24, 1937, in Bemidji, MN, the daughter of Kenneth and Shirley Smith Bevins. She married Willie Coggins May 10, 1958, in Rock Island, IL. Barbara enjoyed traveling, camping, doing crafts, and gardening (especially flowers). She was a loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, who adored her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Willie Coggins; children, Terry Coggins, Decatur, AL, Kim (Richard) Chapman, Davenport, IA, and Rae (Tim) Carlson, East Moline; grandchildren, Jay Coggins, Crystal Hill, and Alexandra Benzon; great grandchildren, Branden, Kali, Ethan, great great grandchildren, Caila, Dawson, and Daxton; brother, Jim (Joanne) Bevins, Vienna, VA. She was preceded in death by her parents. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 262 Danny Thomas Pl, Memphis, TN 38105.
