Funeral services for Barbara Deem, 82, of Moline, IL, formerly of Colona, IL, will be 10:00AM Tuesday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, IL. Burial will be in the Rock Island National Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00PM Monday at the funeral home. Mrs. Deem died Friday, October 17, 2014, at Heartland Healthcare Center, Moline. Barbara Ellen Bradley was born April 17, 1932 in Junction, IL, the daughter of Gilbert Allen and Christenia Dorcas Peters Bradley. She married Burl L. Deem February 9, 1952, in Moline, IL. He died October 20, 2012. She had been a member of the Henry County Rural Mail Carrier Aux. for 18 years, where she had been both Secretary and Treasurer. She had also been a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, where she had held all offices. She enjoyed quilting, hunting, fishing, cooking, sewing, refinishing furniture, and sharing with family and friends. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Survivors include daughters, Pamela (Gary) Hast, Mobile, AL, Debra (David) Deem, East Moline, and Lynn (Terry) Roudebush, Chicago, IL; son, Gilbert (Karen) Deem, East Moline; grandchildren, Nathan Knudtzon, Kendra (Andrew) Walther, Kathryn Knudtzon, Mollie Deem, Jennifer Deem, Bradley (Emilia) Deem, Kayla and Jacob Deem; great-grandchildren, Bryce and Eridani Walther, Kristinia, Adelyn, and Hailey Deem.
