Barbara J. Kershaw, 82, of Colona, passed away Sunday, November 30, 2025, at Hillcrest Home, Geneseo.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, December 8, 2025, at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline.  Visitation will be 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Sunday, December 7, 2025, at the funeral home, with recitation of the rosary at 2:00 pm.  Burial will be at Dayton Corners Cemetery, Colona.  Memorials may be made to St. Judes Children's Research Hospital.

Barbara was born on July 27, 1943, in Galesburg, the daughter of Thomas and Helen (Lundeen) Enright.  Barbara graduated from Alleman High School, Rock Island.  She married William Bender Sr., in July of 1961, they had three children together and later separated.  In February of 1990 she married Darwin "Buz" Kershaw, in Bradenton, FL.  Barbara retired from Genesis Illini Hospital, Silvis, working in the admissions department.  Barbara and her late husband, Darwin, enjoyed going to Florida every February for the Daytona 500 NASCAR race, and wintering in Arizona.  Most of all she loved spending time with her family.

Barbara is survived by her children, Bill (Mary Ann) Bender, East Moline, Thomas (Brenda) Bender, Colona, Brenda (Armando) Veloz, Colona, Dale Kershaw, Colona, and Duane (Diane) Kershaw, Colona, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, and brother, Jim Enright and parter Liz.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Darwin Kershaw; son, John Bender; and daughter-in-law, Jackie Kershaw.
