Funeral services for Barbara J. Kight, 68, East Moline, are 10 AM Thursday at Calvary Church of the Quad Cities, Moline. Burial is in Moline Memorial Park Cemetery, Moline. Visitation is 3-7 PM Wednesday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Calvary Church where she was a founding member. Barb died Saturday, December 22, 2007 at her home. She was born January 12, 1939 in Moline, Illinois, the daughter of Roy and Ruth (Jordon) Miller. She married Gerald Kight on April 16, 1960. Barb had worked at the former Community Savings and Loan and later retired as a mortgage loan supervisor at IH Mississippi Valley Credit Union. She was well respected in the real estate and banking community. She loved family time especially when the grandchildren were around. She enjoyed antiquing. Barb was an active and devoted member of her church. Survivors include her children and spouses; Mike and DeeDee Kight, Moline, Lynn and David Thompson, Moline, Lisa and Michael Mullen, Cedar Rapids, IA, Laura and Mark Tapia, East Moline, Cheryl and Rick O'Connor, Mendota Heights, MN and Kimberly and Mike Schaefer, Bettendorf, grandchildren; Angela Kight, Kirsten Kearns, Joshua Thompson, Isaac Thompson, Peyton Mullen, Parker Mullen, Marcus and Missy Tapia, Nicholas Tapia and Marissa Tapia, Kaylie O'Connor, Rick O'Connor, Jennifer O'Connor, Alex Schaefer and Allison Schaefer, and brothers Don Miller, Moline, Ray Miller, Moline and Terry Miller, East Moline and a special friend Bill Bealer, Colona.
