Funeral services for Barbara M. Roels, 80, of East Moline, IL, will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, at St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline, IL. Entombment will be in St. Mary's Mausoleum, East Moline. Visitation will be 3:00-7:00 PM Tuesday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 6:45 PM. Mrs. Roels died Saturday, May 10, 2008 at Trinity Medical Center, West Campus, Rock Island, IL. Memorials may be made to St. Anne Catholic Church, Alleman High School, or for masses. Barb Teitink was born April 2, 1928 in Rock Island, the daughter of Frank "Andy" and Alice (Carlson) Teitink. She married Joseph "Joe" Roels August 21, 1948 in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Moline, IL. Barb was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She had been a member of St. Anne Catholic Church, Illini Auxiliary, Illinois Home Extension, and the Y-Knots Card Club. She enjoyed painting and drawing. Survivors include: her husband of almost 60 years, Joe Roels of East Moline; daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy and Ron Stein of Newman, IL, Denise and Tom Erps of Coal Valley, IL, Melinda and Jim Williams of Moline; 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren.
