Funeral services for Barbara J. "MiMi" Stephens, 68, of Rock Island, formerly of Moline, IL, will be 11:00 AM Tuesday at St. Mark's Church of the Anglican Communion, Silvis, IL. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00PM Monday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, IL. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Barbara died Friday, March 13, 2009 at Trinity Medical Center, West Campus, Rock Island. Memorials may be made to the family. Barbara Owens was born July 22, 1940 in Centerville, IA, the daughter of Gurney and Gracie (Hart) Owens. She married Homer Stephens June 22, 1959 in Moline. She had been a homemaker. She enjoyed going to church. She loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include: daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Shawn Hinton of Atlanta, GA; son, Dwayne Stephens of Rock Island; grandchildren, Cortney, Willie Jr., Darrius, Anissa, Keontaie, and Shawn M.; 7 great grandchildren; brothers, Robert Owens of Moline; Carl "Buck" Owens of East Moline; several nieces and nephews.
