Funeral services for Bernard E. "Bernie" Erickson, 85, of East Moline, IL, will be 11:00 am Saturday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Mr. Erickson died Sunday March 18, 2018, at his home.

Bernie was born January 11, 1933, in Sherrard, IL, the son of Virgil and Eleanor Zeimer Erickson. He served in the US Air Force. He married Opal "Lucille" Rusk September 5, 1953, in East Moline. He retired from Case/IH Plant East Moline, after 30 years of service. He enjoyed country western music and dancing. He also enjoyed the outdoors and fishing. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren an great-grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Lucille, East Moline; son Larry (Pam) Erickson, Batavia, OH; grandchildren, Tarra (Ryan) Smith, Tanya (Dan) Roberson, and Valerie (Nathan) Fry; great grandchildren, Billy, Blake, Jacob (Emily), Breanna, Nickolas, Sage, Dylan, Lainee, Eric, Logan, and Isaac; great great grandchildren, Parker, Paxton, Landon, and Jace; several nieces and nephews; and his dog and best buddy "Jo Jo"

He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Ricky Eugene Erickson, sister, Beverly Hall; and Le Roy Erickson.
