Funeral services for Bernard LeRoy "Bernie" White, 69, of Davenport, IA, formerly of East Moline, IL, will be 10:00 AM Thursday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, IL. Burial will be in National Cemetery, Rock Island, IL. Visitation will be 4-7 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Mr. White died Sunday, June 18, 2006 at the VA Hospital, Iowa City, Iowa. Memorials may be made to the family. Bernie was born October 19, 1936 in Moline, IL, the son of James and Beulah (McCoy) White. He served in The United Stated Marine Corp during the Korean War. He married Jane Miller July 15, 1975 in Linneus, MO. He had worked for John Deere Harvester, East Moline, IL, and retired from International Harvester, East Moline, IL. After his retirement he owned and operated Bernie's Cleaning Service. He loved fishing and camping. Survivors include: his wife of 30 years, Jane White of Davenport, IA; daughters and sons-in-law, Jeanine and John Harris of Geneseo, IL, Laurie and Dave Dykstra of Morrison, IL, Rose White of East Moline, IL, Melissa and Robert Wulfe of Davenport, IA;, son James White, Davenport, six grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Gloria and Clif Davis of Orion, IL; brother and sister-in-law, Melvin and Ramea White of Rust, TX.
